Pretty Princess Cakes

There are not many opportunities to add a bit of sparkle to your lives, but it seems the trend for all things glittery and pink is not waning. Therefore, we were very happy to make a very lucky 3 year old, Evelyn, some princess themed cupcakes. The brief was simple: she was turning 3, she wanted some crowns, some wands and plenty of sparkle.

We had one minor disaster in the La De Dah Kitchen, where we dropped a pot of pink glitter! We will be finding it for evermore we feel, but we were so delighted with the outcome we cant complain.

We used some vintage press alphabet stamps to emboss the sugar paste making these cupcakes unique and personal to Evelyn. A simple but very effective touch that we like to add to this type of cupcake.

So, here goes. The La De Dah Cakery, a little haven of cupcakes and pops for any event, or even just for your own pleasure.
I'm jumping in at the deep end and saying YES, I can and will make you those cakes you keep asking for. I'm at the beginning of the journey and will document the trials, tribulations and explosions of icing sugar here.
